When it comes to fighting for the title, Shay Mazzato [0-0] is in a class all by herself. She managed to win the title once out of five tries, but her efforts have all been stellar. That is why she returns for another shot at the now vacated LFC crown – an injured Danika Della Rouge [0-0] is unable to defend her title and has been stripped of it as a result.
If they weighed determination and fearlessness, Mazzato would stand on par or above those opposing her. At the main-event in Sturgis, Shay is facing a newcomer in Gypsy Mac [0-0], and she is ready to reclaim the belt by using her blinding speed and ring savvy. Both fighters are 5’2″, but Mac outweighs ‘The Fox’ by nearly 30 pounds.
Channeling her interest in witchcraft, Gypsy blends that dark theme into her swagger and fighting strategy. The New Mexico native is constantly learning and her game is always evolving, making her a formidable opponent who has stated she wants to acquire as many titles as she can. Here, Mac gets that chance, but getting the win is not guaranteed, especially against a fighter as seasoned as Mazzato. This one will leave both fighters exhausted, leaving it all in the ring, but the reward will last a life-time.
